When leak checks start
- Leak-checking duties are based on charge size in tonnes of CO2 equivalent, not in kilograms.
- Checks begin once equipment contains 5 tonnes of CO2 equivalent or more of F-gas.
- Hermetically sealed equipment that is labelled as such and holds less than 10 tonnes of CO2 equivalent is exempt.
- Leak checks must be carried out by a suitably certified person.
