Legionella control in cold water systems

Keeping cold water cool, moving and clean to control Legionella.

The control idea

Legionella bacteria thrive in stagnant water roughly between 20°C and 45°C and in systems holding debris and biofilm. Control in cold water systems rests on three ideas: keep the water cool, below 20°C where practical; keep it moving, avoiding stagnation; and keep it clean.
