The Regulations
In England and Wales, the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 set out to prevent waste, misuse, undue consumption, contamination and erroneous measurement of water supplied by a water undertaker. Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own applicable rules. Use the rules for the location: fittings must be suitable, correctly installed and protected against the relevant backflow risks.
