Manufacturer instructions come first
For any specific appliance the manufacturer installation and servicing instructions are the primary source. They give the exact sizing data, clearances, flue options, water-quality limits, commissioning sequence and service routine. Use the correct model and revision for appliance-specific details, and check the applicable legal requirements as well. Manufacturer instructions do not override the law. Resolve a conflict with the manufacturer or relevant authority before proceeding; warranty conditions are a separate matter.
